HOYT WINFRED LADD, Jr.
Winfred was born in Gainesville, Georgia on May 15, 1942, the son of the late Hoyt Winfred Ladd, Sr. and Lucille Dunagan Ladd. He received a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. Winfred was beloved by his co-workers at the Georgia Department of Corrections where he worked in Business Administration in a lifetime career until his retirement in 1991. He loved the Lord and cherished his church family at West Hills Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. In 1967-1968 Winfred spent time in Germany serving our country in the United States Army. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting along with guns and cars.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty nine years, Lynn Pointer Ladd; daughter, Courtney Ladd, Stone Mountain, Georgia, son and daughter in love, Blake and Hannah Ladd, and grandchildren, Emmalynne, Wyatt and Hattie Ladd all of Bremen, Georgia sister, Lynette Beasley, Gainesville, Georgia. Many brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant sister, Debra Ladd, Gainesville, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at West Hills Church in Villa Rica, Georgia, 11 a.m. with Pastors Tyler Brown and Marty McClain officiating. Carson Ray and Hannah Ladd will provide the music with Shelton Hill, Gail Martin, Courtney Ladd and Blake Ladd serving as Eulogists.
A private interment service was held prior to the Celebration of Life Service.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests contributions be made to your choice of a Christian Ministry.
