Mary Lynette Ladd Beasley


Mary Lynette "Ladd" Beasley Obituary Date: Tuesday, December 26, 2023 Mary Lynette (Ladd) Beasley, age 74, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 26th, 2023. She was born on November 22nd, 1949, in Gainesville Georgia to Hoytt and Lucille Dunagan Ladd.  

Passionate about education, she graduated from South Hall High School as a member of the National Beta Club. She also graduated from Shorter College with a Bachelor’s in Music, University of Georgia with a Master’s in Fine Arts and Brenau University with a Master’s in Continuing Education with a certification for Early Childhood Education. She taught at First Presbyterian Preschool and North Georgia Christian School. She dedicated her career to sharing her love of education and Christian values with the next generation. She is well remembered for having touched the hearts and minds of countless students. 

 Family was of the upmost importance to Mary, who went to great lengths to ensure everyone was taken care of. She adored her family immensely. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Winfred Ladd, and sister, Deborah Ann Ladd. Mary is survived by her sons William Brandon Beasley (wife Lauren Beasley) and Nathan Beasley (fiancĂ© Kayla Broten); her granddaughters Alexandra Ivey and Josephine Beasley; her great granddaughter Elise Ivey. 

 The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024, at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024, in the Memorial Park Riverside Chapel with interment to follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial Park Riverside Chapel 989 Riverside Drive Gainesville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.

HOYT WINFRED LADD, Jr.


Mr. Hoyt Winfred Ladd, Jr., age 74, of Bremen, Georgia went to heaven on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.

Winfred was born in Gainesville, Georgia on May 15, 1942, the son of the late Hoyt Winfred Ladd, Sr. and Lucille Dunagan Ladd. He received a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. Winfred was beloved by his co-workers at the Georgia Department of Corrections where he worked in Business Administration in a lifetime career until his retirement in 1991. He loved the Lord and cherished his church family at West Hills Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. In 1967-1968 Winfred spent time in Germany serving our country in the United States Army. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting along with guns and cars.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty nine years, Lynn Pointer Ladd; daughter, Courtney Ladd, Stone Mountain, Georgia, son and daughter in love, Blake and Hannah Ladd, and grandchildren, Emmalynne, Wyatt and Hattie Ladd all of Bremen, Georgia sister, Lynette Beasley, Gainesville, Georgia. Many brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant sister, Debra Ladd, Gainesville, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at West Hills Church in Villa Rica, Georgia, 11 a.m. with Pastors Tyler Brown and Marty McClain officiating. Carson Ray and Hannah Ladd will provide the music with Shelton Hill, Gail Martin, Courtney Ladd and Blake Ladd serving as Eulogists.

A private interment service was held prior to the Celebration of Life Service.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests contributions be made to your choice of a Christian Ministry.
